Five Summer Cocktails With Iced Tea

specs

Sipping iced tea with friends and family on the porch is one of my favorite summer rituals, and it's even better when you add alcohol to it. To that end, I've created five cocktails to bring out all the flavors of iced tea.

1. Iced Tea and Rum

Long Island Iced Tea with rum is a timeless classic. It's been popular since the 1920s. With a hint or sweetness and some funk, the boozy cocktail is a perfect way to get started with iced tea.

2. Green Tea Gimlet Made with Vodka & Lime Juice

This recipe can be made with simple ingredients like vodka or gin infused with green tea. If you want to be a little creative, infuse your own alcohol with tea.

3. Raspberry Sweet Tea

Iced fruit teas are a refreshing summer drink. This berry-forward cocktail is easy to make and has a great flavor. It's ideal for outdoor parties and casual lunches.

4. Peach Iced Tee with Vodka & Honey

A classic combination of peaches and iced tea is always a winner, but when you add a twist of vodka to the mix, it's just that much more irresistible. This recipe includes a lot of tasty ingredients like lemons, mint, honey and limes.

5. Elderflower Gimlet Made with Vodka and Lime Juice

This elegant and beautiful drink is perfect for those who love the floral taste. This gimlet contains no bitters nor syrups, which would interfere with the delicate flavors found in your iced green tea.

6. Gin and Herbal Tea

Herbal Tea is another wonderful way to enhance your tea drink. Herbal tea adds complexity and depth to your drink, whether it is a blend like chamomile or rose.

7. Green Tea Gimlet with Vodka

The easiest way to incorporate tea into your alcoholic cocktail is to infuse your booze with a botanical spirit, like gin or a herbal liqueur. Adding a little tea can be a fun way to mix up your drinks, and it's a great way to use fresh, seasonal ingredients!

8. Ginger and Lemon Bourbon cocktail

If you're short on mixers but still want an alcoholic drink, this bourbon-based cocktail is perfect for you. This cocktail tastes refreshing because it has a hint or ginger and lemon.

9. Strawberry and Mint Iced tea with Vodka

If strawberries are your favorite summer fruit, you'll adore this delicious alcoholic drink. It's an easy recipe that combines the bitterness and sweetness of bourbon and tea with the refreshing mint flavor.

The recipe also uses simple sugar syrup instead of granulated to sweeten it. This allows the bourbon to blend better with the sweet tea and also helps cut down on the amount of sugar you'll need to use in order to get the right flavor and balance.
